M6 reopened after traffic stopped in both directions but delays remain
Drivers on the M6 are being warned of delays after traffic was stopped in both directions due to a police incident.
National Highways tweeted shortly after 11.30am to say vehicles on the motorway had been brought to a halt between Junctions 13, Penkridge, and 14, Stafford.
At around midday the agency said the incident had been resolved and traffic released, but added: "Delays of approximately 30 minutes remain in both directions but should now start to ease."
