Motorcyclist taken to hospital after crash on major road
A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after crashing on Wednesday morning.
The rider crashed on the A41 near Weston Park shortly before 9am, closing part of the road near the Pickmere Roundabout.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said paramedics were called at 8.59am to the island where the A5 and A41 meet in Tong.
A spokesperson said: "One ambulance attended and treated one man, the motorcyclist, who had come off his bike. He was conveyed to Princess Royal Hospital with injuries not thought to be serious."
A West Mercia Police spokesperson added: "Police are currently in attendance at a road traffic collision on the A41 at the Pickmere Roundabout near to Weston Park involving a single vehicle.
"The collision happened at just after 9am and the road is currently blocked causing delays."
