Motorists warned of freezing flood water on Tipton roads

Motorists have been warned about driving through Tipton due to flood water freezing on several roads.

West Midlands Fire Service says the flood water may prove hazardous for driver travelling on Coneygree Road, Victoria Road and Peel Street today.

Firefighters were working alongside Sandwell Council and South Staffs Water in a bid to resolve the issue.

The fire service revealed the incident at 4.49am.

West Midlands Fire Service tweeted: "Please take care when travelling around Coneygree Rd, Victoria Rd, Peel St area of Tipton - there is a flooding incident which may freeze causing hazardous travelling conditions, Crews are working alongside @sandwellcouncil @SthStaffsWater to resolve this as quickly as possible"
