Man, 21, dies after crash between car and lorry near Lichfield
A 21-year-old man from Walsall has died after a crash near Lichfield early this morning.
The man died after a white Renault Clio collided with a lorry on the A5 Wall bypass, near Muckley Corner, at around 2am. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions as police investigated.
Staffordshire Police received reports that the Clio had collided with the lorry in a layby near to the Wall island.
Investigating officers keen to speak to any potential witnesses and motorists who may have dash-cam footage.
They are searching for any witnesses that may have seen the white Clio prior to the crash.
The victim's family are being supported by specialist officers at this time.

The road has since reopened.
