M6 blocked off after tree left dangling over carriageway
A motorway was blocked off to drivers after a fallen tree was left hanging over the carriageway.
Highways England blocked off the M6 northbound between J10, Walsall, and J10A, for the M54, while crews carried out an operation to remove the tree today.
A photograph showed the tall tree dangling almost horizontal over a face and across the M6.
Crews acted swiftly, with the blockage in place for only 20 minutes just after 10am.
Highways England tweeted: "#TrafficOfficers currently have a block on the Northbound #M6 between J10 #Walsall & J10A #M54Link whilst are crews remove a tree leaning over the carriageway."
