Walsall's Green Lane shut for flooding works
Part of a Walsall road will be closed for two weeks while work takes place to replace drain pipes and combat flooding.
Green Lane in Walsall Wood closed yesterday between the junctions of Mob Lane and Hall Lane.
It is expected to stay closed for two weeks while a contractor carries out flood alleviation work on behalf of Walsall Council.
A spokesman for the council said that the pipes that run under Green Lane have become blocked over time, and they were now working to replace the pipes while the road closure is in place.
However the road will be open on Sunday to accommodate the diversion route while other roads are closed for the Remembrance Day parade.
