Crash closes West Bromwich bus station
A Black Country bus station was closed after a crash involving two buses this afternoon.
Debris was left strewn across the floor, with both buses damaged in the crash at West Bromwich bus station.
A double-decker bus crashed into a single-decker bus before hitting the railings at around 3pm.
No-one was hurt in the crash but the station was closed and buses were stopping on nearby roads as a result.
The station was expected to stay shut until around 7pm.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said that around eight people were "shaken" in the incident but nobody was injured.
Police officers and eight firefighters were also called to the scene.
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: "We were called at 3.08pm and sent two crews from West Bromwich, a fire engine and a brigade response vehicle, totalling eight firefighters.
"A double-decker bus crashed into a single-decker bus before then crashing into the central reservation.
"We made both vehicles safe and no-one was injured."
