Already today there have been delays on the M54 after two crashes, including one that left the motorway closed near Cannock.

In Pensnett there were delays on the A4101 High Street heading towards Holly Hall with queues from Kingswinford, while a fire in Walsall closed a road in Caldmore.

There were delays on the Midland Metro following a failed tram at Wednesbury, while National Express was forced to alter some of its route as West Bromwich Bus Station, Wednesbury Bus Station and Bearwood Bus Station were unable to be served by all routes.
