Roads flooded as heavy rain hits Midlands

Motorists across the Black Country and Staffordshire faced delays because of flooding as Storm Angus hit the region.

Two lanes of the M5 northbound were forced to close yesterday morning between junction three for Halesowen and junction two for Oldbury because of flooding.

Meanwhile the A460 Hednesford Road in Brereton, Rugeley, was also closed in both directions at the junction with Stile Cop Road because of flooding.
