The on-demand service, which will also stop off in Burntwood, is set to begin on Monday, October 10.
People will be able to call up and book the 'Rugeley and Lichfield Village Connect' to arrange a pre-agreed time for collection.
Staffordshire County Council is introducing the service which will replace the existing 823 bus service which currently operates on Tuesdays and Fridays only and offer transport to areas that will be left without a local service following changes to the Arriva service 15.
Highways and transport chief Councillor Mark Deaville said: "This will now give people a flexible and affordable public transport option."
