Nine-mile stretch of M6 to close overnight

A nine-mile stretch of the M6 heading south through the Black Country will be closed overnight .

The southbound carriageway of the motorway will be shut between junction 10A near Walsall down to junction seven at Great Barr from 8pm tonight and Tuesday night.

The carriageway will reopen at 6am each day.

It will mean long detours for drivers travelling down the motorway after 8pm.

Highways England will be carrying out carriageway repairs along the stretch.

Diversion signs will be in place.
