Wolverhampton Road will be shut between Norton Road and Wood Lane so the carriageway can be resurfaced.
Work will be carried out between 7pm and 6am from Monday until November 26 in a bid to minimise disruption and is the latest of roadworks problems in the area.
There is a £700,000 project to improve pothole-ridden routes in Pelsall as part of agreed council plans.
Pipes were also replaced by South Staffs Water around the Fingerpost junction over the summer.
Motorists have been warned of diversions and longer journeys during the latest set of works.
