The Highways Agency was called to deal with the breakdown at 7.45am today.

It was towed from the northbound carriageway between junction nine at Wednesbury and 10 at Walsall minutes later.

Two lanes were briefly shut for the recovery of the lorry and queues built up but they cleared quickly when the road reopened.
