Hold-ups as lorry sheds metal load in Dudley

[gallery] Drivers were caught in rush hour delays today as a lorry shed its load and partially blocked a major route through the Black Country.

The lorry was carrying tons of metal sheets, which were scattered on Tipton Road, Dudley, opposite the Rentokil building at Castlegate island.

The road was left partially blocked after the accident, which happened at around 8am.

Motorists were having to drive around the debris while it was being cleared. Queues built up along the Dudley Southern Bypass.

It caused delays for motorists travelling from Dudley to the Birmingham New Road as queues built up along the Dudley Southern Bypass.
