Free parking will be trialled at Stafford Railway Station after 3pm at weekends over the school holidays, bosses have revealed.
The move is aimed at supporting businesses in the town centre by making it easier for shoppers to come in.
The initiative will start from this Saturday and will last for six weeks at the Virgin multi-storey car park.
Heather Hodkinson, Virgin Trains' station manager for Stafford, said: "Virgin Trains' team at Stafford are delighted to support the campaign to promote Stafford Town Centre.
"We are offering free parking in the station car parks after 3pm Saturday and Sunday for the duration of the school summer holidays.
"It commences on July 21 for six weeks and is our way of supporting the business community in their efforts to promote the town centre. Most of our team live in Stafford and are passionate about keeping the town centre vibrant and showing the surrounding areas what Stafford has to offer. We are hoping that this trial will encourage people into Stafford town centre and Victoria Park."
