OnePlus to unveil new 6T smartphone on October 30
The Chinese phone maker has confirmed its next device will be announced in New York with a live stream.
Phone maker OnePlus has announced a “community event” in New York at the end of October, where the firm will offer a first look at its next smartphone, the OnePlus 6T.
The event will be combined with a live stream, where the new device will be shown off for the first time.
The 6T is likely to be an enhanced version of the OnePlus 6 that launched earlier this year, the firm’s latest flagship phone.
Rumours suggest the new 6T could feature a smaller screen notch than the 6, as well as a fingerprint sensor built directly into the display.
The event has the tag line Unlock the Speed, suggesting some processor improvements may also serve as part of the 6T’s upgrade.
As the reveal event is more fan-driven than a media showcase, fans wanting to be there in person will have to book and pay for tickets to the event, starting from £16, but those in attendance will get the opportunity to get hands-on with the device.
