Fortnite's mysterious purple cube

A strange purple cube that has slowly been moving around the map of Fortnite has finally reached its end after puzzling gamers for almost four weeks.

No-one could work out the purpose of the purple cube when it landed on the map in late August, but it got to Loot Lake yesterday and melted in the water, forming a bouncy surface.

Eager Fortnite fans noticed a regular pattern in the cube’s movements, noting down 14 shifts every day at the same time.

Along the way, the cube has occasionally left anti-gravity domes and even destroyed a small shop as it rolled through Titled Towers.

Theories about the purple-coloured bouncy layer are already swirling, with some suggesting that something could be hidden underneath.

There’s no telling whether the cube’s final destination will act as a lead into the game’s sixth season, which is hotly tipped to arrive next week.
