A powerful water gun that claims to “take water fights to the next level” has beaten its fundraising target on Kickstarter.

Munich-based start-up Spyra invented a battery-operated water gun that is easily refillable and produces targeted water jets from a distance.

The company said: “On a hot summer’s day, what is more fun than a water fight? But let’s be honest – there are no good water guns around anymore.”

The water guns can shoot 30ml of water precisely at a target from a distance of up to seven-and-a-half metres.

Spyra said: “Two years ago, we set out on a mission: to completely reinvent the water gun – and take water fights to the next level.

“Each water bullet is exactly 30 ml – about the size of a shot glass… With the push of a button, Spyra One refills the entire tank with water – 25 shots in 14 seconds.”

Spyra has raised over €363,000 (around £326,000) of its initial €51,000 (around £45,000) fundraising target.

The water guns, available in blue or red, cost from €115 (around £103) each.

The products are expected to be delivered in August 2019, just in time for next year’s epic water fights.
