The former Fosters Fitness Centre, which was on the first floor and adjoined Willenhall Churchyard on Wood Street, also had a tanning and beauty treatment area. However, it closed its doors during the pandemic.

Applicant Rightbell International Ltd. has put forward plans for eight en-suite bedrooms, a ground-floor kitchen/diner, and a third-floor kitchenette.

The proposals have no details about parking or waste provision at the site.

Councillor for Willenhall South Simran Cheema raised concerns about the number of HMOs in the area at the last council meeting.

She raised issues about overcrowding, poor waste management and antisocial behaviour in relation to HMOs within the ward.

Councillor Cheema also said legislation was required to prevent areas like Willenhall from being overrun with HMOs.
