Plans submitted for more than 80 houses in green area of South Staffordshire
Plans have been submitted for more than 80 houses in Wombourne on greenfield land.
Currently South Staffordshire District Council are unable to demonstrate a four year housing supply and therefore there is a presumption in favour of development.
The land of Pool House Road, around 2.2 hectares of developable land, is currently greenfield land which has been removed from the greenbelt. It was also included in the draft local plan for future residential development.
The applicant – Taylor Wimpey UK Limited – held a consultation event in July which was attended by 64 residents, despite over 1000 leaflets being delivered to households.
