Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has brought the Quality Hotel in Birmingham Road, Dudley, to market.

It was originally The Ward Arms – named for the family of the Earls of Dudley – with part of the complex dating from 1920.

The hotel stands on a 1.4-acre site and has 72 en-suite rooms.

The hotel is currently operated under a 20-year franchise agreement with Choice Hotels, as part of its Quality Hotel brand.

This agreement has six years remaining, however early termination can also be considered to allow for rebranding options.

The hotel, which has a car park able to take 120 vehicles, is a popular wedding and event venue for the local community.

It has five meeting rooms and conference and banqueting facilities.

The current owners have decided to sell to concentrate their efforts on existing businesses located in the south.

Josh Sullivan, senior agent in Christie & Co’s hotel team, is managing the sale and said: “The Quality Hotel is a prime opportunity for an experienced operator to capitalise upon potential rebranding.”
