Oldbury homes plan back on the table
More than a dozen homes could be built on open space in Oldbury, as planning bosses look set to give the scheme the green light after it was resubmitted.
Sandwell Council’s planning committee will discuss the proposals to build 13 properties on Brook Road, off Wolverhampton Road, at their meeting next week.
The committee has been recommended to grant approval for the scheme, subject to the approval of full council.
A report states: "The application is a resubmission of a residential scheme previously refused by planning committee in March 2020.
"Planning committee refused the previous application on grounds of insufficient parking provision, flood risk and loss of open space.
"The applicant proposes to erect 13 detached dwellings, comprising of two house types. The type A house type would have five bedrooms and a detached garage. The type B house type would have four bedrooms and an integral garage."
Sandwell Council’s planning committee will discuss the plans on Wednesday.
