The national housebuilder has opened the doors to its 77-home Brickkiln Place development, off Great Brickkiln Street.

The development will include a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes and is being built on the former Tower and Fort Works site, which had fallen into disrepair.

The launch comes a week after the housebuilder opened its second phase on the Tap Works development, off Showell Road in Low Hill, which is being built on the former site of the Armitage Shanks Tap Works factory.

Tap Works also offers a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes for sale, some of which will be available through the Home Reach Shared Ownership scheme.

Both developments will provide 227 new homes and forms part of Wolverhampton’s wider regeneration programme, which includes a £132 million investment in local transport services as well as new office and retail space.

Linda Huntington, head of sales for Linden Homes West Midlands, said: “It was fantastic to welcome so many visitors to the launch of first homes at Tap Works and Brickkiln Place, which will provide much-needed housing for Wolverhampton.

“Construction work at both developments is progressing well and we are looking to have a showhome at each site opened by the end of the summer.

“Brickkiln Place and Tap Works have been carefully designed to ensure that there is something for everyone, from first time buyers, to families and those looking to upsize.

“Both developments benefit from easy access to the city centre and have good access to a range of schools, so we anticipate demand for homes here will be high and would encourage prospective house-hunters to act fast to avoid disappointment.”

Both developments are expected to be complete by the end of 2020, with the first homes set for completion in 2019.
