Wordsley glassworks site set for new flats

A building which was once part of a historic glassworks is set to be converted into flats.

The site on the Bridge Trading Centre, on High Street, Wordsley, which was most recently used as offices, would become nine flats, under plans.

The building is a surviving part of the old Wordsley Flint Glassworks which was built in the late 18th century.

Many buildings which were once used for the area's booming glass industry have been turned into housing in recent years.

The plans will go before Dudley Council over the next few weeks.
