But now West Midlands estate agents DB Roberts have set some of their finest (and youngest) minds the task of overcoming the problem:
Sales director Jo Culley said: "We wanted to do something a bit special in the lead up to Christmas.
"We recorded it during late October and had no shortage of aspiring young film stars wanting to take part!
"It's not quite up to the John Lewis Christmas commercial, but it will hopefully raise a smile. And perhaps help our viewers ensure they get a visit from Santa."
