£600,000 affordable homes plan unveiled for Darlaston

A six-figure affordable housing scheme which would see a row of terraced homes bulldozed to make way for flats has been unveiled by a developer.

The £600,000 proposals are for 12 flats on a site in Blockall, Darlaston. Firm HSM Planning Ltd wants to replace a row of terraced homes with the proposed development.

The site is flanked by shops and neighbouring flats.

The flats would be a mix of one, two and three bedroom properties.

It comes as Walsall Council tries to boost Darlaston by improving the road infrastructure to attract big investors and making empty land more attractive for redevelopment.

Four junctions will be improved as part of a multi-million pound scheme.
