A 10-house development could be built in Walsall Wood under plans lodged with the council.

A developer has applied to the council to bulldoze properties at the rear of Brownhills Road and build the housing development.

The site is currently occupied by a pair of Victorian houses at the front with outhouses, extensions and overgrown gardens behind with a terrace of properties.

The terraces were originally three houses, but subsequently they were converted into six flats by Accord Housing Association and bought by the applicant. The end terrace remains in private ownership.

The proposal is to demolish the properties, with a new gable wall making the privately owned end terrace into a detached house.
