In the latest of our 'Moving to' property features, we look at living in Wednesfield, a town just two miles from the city of Wolverhampton with a population of around 33,000.

Wednesfield was formerly known for its history of making things, including animal traps and locks.

Most of the old factories have been demolished to make way for housing since then though and, nowadays, Wednesfield is well-served.

It boasts easy access to a large supermarket, New Cross Hospital and the Bentley Bridge retail park, with plenty of shopping outlets and restaurants.

Transport:

Wednesfield is supported by both a bus and road network, with Centro running local public transport services to Wolverhampton city centre, Bilston, Bloxwich and Willenhall.

It is well-placed for short commutes to both Wolverhampton and Walsall and is within easy reach of J10 of the M6 providing access to Birmingham and beyond.

What the people say:

Steph Jennings said on her Twitter account: "The best is the community spirit and being right on the Staffordshire Green Belt and all the open park spaces.

Jasvinder Chatha said on Facebook: "It's a fantastic place to live. There are lots of close amenities, the new Bentley Bridge with Cineworld and bowling - its coming on great."
