  • The Rat & Mouse

Probably the UK's best known property blog and with good reason. With everything from interviews with the top bods at 4homes to witty microblogs and links to interesting content, this is a site worth checking out.

  • Zoopla

With plenty of original research on house prices, market confidence and more, Zoopla's blog is much more than just a plug for their own content.

  • Landlord Law Blog

A very informative blog, although not one for the casual reader, The Landlord Law blog makes for essential reading for all landlords and those considering becoming one. Expect up-to-the-minute comment on property news and extremely useful and detailed guides on every aspect of letting.

  • Prime location

For opinions on the property market, colour pieces that go beyond the news and some great lists of homes you'd love to own, Prime Location is a great blog to bookmark.

  • Property owl

This wise owl aims to tell it like it is, challenge the market and, above all, be honest. Blogging on a wide range of issues, you'd be a twit not twoo check it out.

  • Landlord property investment

The bland name belies the brilliance of this blog, which never minces its words and is frequently hilarious, whilst also containing some good advice. With headlines like 'My tenant is a lazy, worthless, greasy kebab' this site will appeal to both those inside and out of the industry.

  • My property mentor

Promoting a more open and ethical way of doing business, this blog combines guest posts with original insight and makes for an interesting read.

  • Agents diary

In their own words, this is the 'weary musings of a time-served estate agent plagued by cretinous idiots that they work with.' Which we find makes for an honest, insightful and amusing blog.

  • Renter girl

Tales of renting properties and house shares from a girl who has seen more than her fair share of them. So well written that she wrote a monthly column for guardian.co.uk, this is a must-read for all those in rented accommodation.

  • House 2.0

A blog from the author of the Housebuilder's Bible, this knowledgeable and detailed account is perhaps better suited to the more informed reader, but for those in the know, it's a great resource.
