Another West Midlands Metro scheme busts budget as depot costs pass £55 million
The cost of expanding the Black Country's Metro depot has increased by more than £12 million in just six months, it can be revealed.

Work started in January to expand the depot in Wednesbury, which will cater for an increased fleet of trams once the region's various Metro extensions are up and running.
But a report to the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) board says the project's budget has now gone up from £43m to £55.4m.
It is one of a number of cost hikes to hit the region's Metro plans, which also include a 45 per cent rise for the 6.8-mile Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro line.
