Three Black Country town centres lined up for £500 million transformations
Three Black Country town centres will undergo multi-million pound revamps under major investment plans unveiled today.
The West Midlands Combined Authority's (WMCA) £20 billion investment prospectus outlines schemes which bosses say will revitalise the centres of Dudley, Walsall and West Bromwich.
The prospectus, which was given a local launch in Oldbury this morning, has highlighted 29 schemes the WMCA wants to pursue with the help of investors and property developers.
Breathing new life into some of the region's flagging town centres is central to the plans.
Dudley Council is seeking investors to bring forward its plans for a phased programme of development of residential, retail, leisure and employment projects across the town centre.
