The Defence Secretary and South Staffordshire MP will examine issues facing 'global Britain' in a session that also features International Trade Secretary Liam Fox and Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt.

The Symphony Hall speech marks Mr Williamson's second significant conference appearance.

Last year in Manchester, when Chief Whip, he addressed delegates in the main hall before Theresa May took the stage.

The Tories have now released full details of events at the conference, which runs from September 30-October 3 and is expected to be dominated by Brexit.

It will feature details on the Government's plans for the economy, with the Autumn budget – now set for October 29 – and local authority spending review on the horizon.

Housing Secretary James Brokenshire and Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab will also deliver speeches.

Theresa May will close proceedings on Wednesday with a Symphony Hall speech entitled 'Campaign 2022'.
