Last year's bake off at Bilston Town Hall was a roaring success

The Wolverhampton South East MP will host the event at Bilston Town Hall on Friday (June 22), with entries open to members of the public.

Entrants have the chance to bake either a cake, a biscuit or a dessert for a panel of expert judges, including Signal 107's Dicky Dodd, the Mayor of Wolverhampton Phil Page, and MasterChef finalist Dennice McKinnon.

Entries cost £5 with all proceeds going to the Jo Cox Foundation, which was set up after her death in June 2016 with the aim of making communities stronger.

Judging starts at 10am when the entries – which must be baked before the event – will be whittled down to the final five and then a single winner or group.

All remaining cakes will be sold to attendees for £1 per slice, with the money donated to the Jo Cox Foundation.
