Amanda Milling gives full backing to PM
Amanda Milling has called for an end to 'ridiculous' speculation over Theresa May's future as she pledged her full support for the Prime Minister.
It comes after former Conservative Party chairman Grant Shapps said he had the backing of 30 MPs in urging for a leadership election.
Cannock Chase MP Ms Milling said: “The Prime Minister has my full support.
"Theresa May is the right person to deliver Brexit and lead the country and party through this very important task.
"I am so proud to be serving under the party’s second female Prime Minister and I hope the ridiculous leadership speculation ends.
"Our priority has to be getting on with the job of Government."
Ms Milling added that the Prime Minister had dealt 'exceptionally well' with the issues surrounding her conference speech on Wednesday, which saw her battle coughing fits and an interruption from a prankster.
"It showed that she is far more human than some people would like to portray her as," she said.
"I very much look forward to seeing her delivering on our agenda to make a fairer Britain.
