The 67 plates have arrived: here are five deals to take advantage of
We look at the best deals to get you in a 67-plate car
September has come around and that means one thing for the new car market — the introduction of new licence plates.
It’s the time of year many buyers are keen to be some of the first on new licence plates and manufacturers are often eager to capitalise with great deals. Here’s five we’ve found to get you in a 67-plate car.
Scrappage schemes
It seems just about every manufacturer at the moment has a scrappage scheme on the go.
Most manufacturers are offering at least £2,000, with some going much further (in the case of Ford, you could save £7,000) so it’s worth researching the exact details of each manufacturer’s schemes to find the right deal for you.
Vauxhall Buy Any Car Too
You’ve probably heard of webuyanycar.com, a company that gives you a quick valuation of your car and will almost certainly buy your car (the name says it all, really).
Show up to a Vauxhall dealer with a quote from webuyanycar.com, and after an appraisal, it will match the site’s evaluation and also offer £1,000 extra towards any of its new cars.
Seat’s £500 Test Drive
Test-driving a car is something pretty much every buyer does, and definitely should do.
It’s a great way to get to know a car — and Seat has just made it even more worthwhile.
If you test-drive a new Leon, Ibiza or Ateca any time from now until October 2, the Spanish manufacturer will offer a £500 discount on any of those models should you wish to buy one.
Alfa wants you to test them, too
Seat isn’t the only company offering a test-drive discount.
With Alfa Romeo’s Test Me offer, you can get a £2,000 deposit contribution if you test-drive a Mito, Giuletta or 4C before the end of the month.
Turn over a new Leaf with a £4,000 deposit contribution
We’re in the early stages of an electric revolution on the roads, so perhaps you’re thinking of going to full battery power for your next car purchase.
Nissan’s current Leaf is getting on a bit (a new model is coming soon, though) but the deals for the EV are looking very good right now.
The Japanese manufacturer is offering a £4,000 deposit contribution on any new Leaf right now, as well as three years’ free servicing.
Number plate changes always spring up some great deals and this time round has proved no different. If you want to get yourself a 67-plate car, there are plenty of great deals out there right now — so what are you waiting for?
