Audi adds new entry-level Q4 e-tron model to line-up
Electric SUV starts from £46,600.
Audi has introduced a new entry-level version of its Q4 e-tron, bringing a lower starting price to the firm’s compact electric SUV range.
Called Q4 40 e-tron, the new car is priced at £46,600 and gets a claimed range of up to 258 miles from its 63kWh battery. A maximum charge rate of 165kW allows a 10 to 80 per cent charge to be completed in 24 minutes when the car is connected to a suitably rapid charger, while Audi says that up to 93 miles of range can be added in 10 minutes.
A single-motor setup delivers 201bhp overall, allowing for a 0-60mph time of 7.9 seconds.
Inside, the Q4 e-tron features a high level of standard equipment, including features such as Audi’s full MMI infotainment setup incorporating a large central screen and a secondary 10.25-inch virtual cockpit display ahead of the driver. The Q4 e-tron also has Audi’s application store – and a one-year 25 GB data package – built-in, allowing users to access a number of apps to access news, podcast and sports services to name just three.
An upgraded navigation system means that drivers can plot out their planned charging stops using a variety of filters, including a feature which defines how much battery owners would like to have remaining by the time they reach a destination. Drivers can also filter top-up stops depending on their favoured charging supplier.
As with many other Audi SUV models, the Q4 e-tron is available in both regular SUV and coupe-inspired Sportback layouts, with orders for both opening on March 13.
