Peugeot is adding a new dual-motor setup to its E-3008 and E-5008 electric SUVs.
Announced as part of a series of line-up expansions, the two cars will get a dual-motor setup – one positioned on the front axle and another on the rear – bringing a combined output of 321bhp. It’ll make the two cars some of the most potent offered by the French firm and both will be arriving in dealerships ‘in the coming weeks’, according to Peugeot. Prices and specifications have yet to be announced.
In addition to these performance models, Peugeot will also be introducing a five-seater version of the E-5008, which was originally launched only as a seven-seater. The brand says that this model is designed for drivers who want ‘increased loading capacity’. As a result, it gets 994 litres of boot space with the second row in place, representing a 78-litre boost over the seven-seater variant. With the rear seats folded flat, boot space jumps to 2,310 litres.

Alain Favey, Peugeot CEO, said: “In addition to the beautiful products already present in our markets, it’s by focusing on our customers and strengthening our partnerships that we will build a bright, successful and sustainable future for PEUGEOT. In 2025, we are definitely in performance mode!”.
Announced as part of its yearly E-Lion planning day, Peugeot said that it would be making ‘performance a priority’ in 2025 while focusing on growth within its home market, France.
