The new electric Citroen e-Spacetourer will be priced from £45,600 after the plug-in car grant and is available for orders now.

It’s available in two trims, with the less expensive being called Business and being focused on fleet buyers. It gets seating for up to nine and has hard-wearing floors for better durability.

The other trim is called Feel and that’s aimed at families, with prices starting at £46,250. This gets a child observation mirror, load restraint net, rail-mounted rear seats, and automatic dual-zone climate control.

In both models, there are up to three rows of seats, with the rear seats able to be removed for almost 4,000 litres of luggage capacity. Both also have no benefit-in-kind to be paid in the 2020/21 financial year.

It’s powered by a 136bhp electric motor and has a 50kWh battery that can provide up to 143 miles per charge. It also supports up to 100kW rapid charging, so an 80 per cent charge takes around 30 minutes.

All models have a seven-inch infotainment system with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a smartphone app that lets the owner pre-condition the battery or defer charging, and a drive-mode selector.

The e-Spacetourer’s battery comes with an eight-year or 100,000-mile warranty for up to 70 per cent of the initial battery capacity.
