Mitsubishi to showcase new concept vehicle at Geneva Motor Show
New car promises ‘next-generation technology’
Mitsubishi will unveil an all-new concept car at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
The new vehicle, which aims to show that the company can ‘remain at the forefront of vehicle design and technology’, is called the Engelberg Tourer Concept – taking its name from a Swiss ski resort. This reference could hint that the car has been created with off-road capabilities in mind.
Expected to be an SUV, the concept is set to ‘focus on next-generation technology and enhanced EV performance’. Further details surrounding the vehicle are expected to be released on March 5.
So far teased with just a single image, the concept features thin blue LED headlights, and a new take on the firm’s ‘Dynamic Shield’ front grille. It also appears to feature a pair of three-pod lights mounted to the roof of the car.
It leads on from the e-Evolution concept revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2017; it too was an electric SUV, and was built with the intention of being able to deliver Level 4 autonomy systems.
Mitsubishi has, however, yet to disclose whether the Engelberg Tourer Concept will utilise a fully-electric or hybrid powertrain.
