Luxury car dealer Girardo & Co. utilise an ex-Colin McRae Subaru Impreza WRC car to collect a real tree at the last minute
Time is running out to get a Christmas tree, but one luxury car dealer has showcased the ultimate tool for those last-minute tree collections — a Subaru Impreza rally car.
Girardo & Co., a London-based firm, has published its second-annual festive video. It takes on a cheesy story line — with founder Max Girardo needing to get a tree in the office in time for a party — but adds to that everything you’d associate with an ex-Colin McRae Impreza.
That means dirt roads, air time and lots of oversteer. Oh, and all this with a Christmas tree strapped to the back of it — which looks especially cool when covering London streets coated in dirt.
The firm is a fan of leaving things to the last minute at this time of year. Last year’s clip saw Girardo making a very late present delivery — utilising the help of a Martini-liveried Lancia 037 and Delta Integrale, dropping them off at a matching-skinned Iveco truck which itself is then hounded in an impressive fashion.
