The Cadillac came exceptionally close to colliding with another car

A Cadillac Escalade driver came perilously close to crashing into a series of stopped cars recently, after they lost control and flew down a roadside embankment.

Captured on dashcam in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, the footage shows a cross junction ahead of an overpass. All vehicles at the junction are parked up – apart from one approaching the area from the road opposite the camera car.

At the top right of the camera enters the Cadillac in question, which veers off the flyover and down the steep embankment.

Seemingly out of the control, the Escalade impacts hard at the bottom of the gradient and smashes one of its wheels. The stricken car then careers towards the junction, but narrowly misses the vehicles it is approaching.

Thankfully, the Cadillac misses colliding with any of the cars in the road, and appears to drift to a halt out of the shot of the camera.

The incident could have been far worse had the traffic lights been green, with free-flowing traffic likely to be in the path of the out-of-control Cadillac.
