Morgan announces new collaboration with Pashley Cycles
High-quality cycles are inspired by British sports car manufacturer’s racing heritage
Morgan has revealed a new range of motorsport-inspired bicycles created in partnership with Pashley Cycles.
The bicycle creator has a similarly long history to Morgan, having been founded in 1926 – making it the longest-established British cycle manufacturer.
The pair have now collaborated on two new bicycles, which will be produced at Pashley’s factory in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Both have been made with high-strength Reynolds 631 tubing and feature a unique curved top tube design. Each bike gets a frame-mounted race plate too, in keeping with the motorsport-inspired looks.
The first bicycle of the pair, called The Pashley Morgan 8, is finished in a light grey colour, offset by black leather grips and all-wood mudguards and chainguards. An eight-speed Shimano Nexus internal geared hub keeps the bike’s looks clean, while also sending power to a classic domed-style headlamp. The bike also features a Brooks vulcanised rubber saddle.
The Pashley Morgan 8 will retail in the UK for £1,595.
The second bike, called The Pashley Morgan 3, incorporates a higher cycling position than the 8, and is finished in British Racing Green. Honey leather grips combine with aluminium end caps to give a clean, classical look to the cycle, while a three-speed Sturmey Archer internal gear hub should provide hassle-free gearing.
The Morgan 3 also receives walnut laminated wood veneer mudguards and a matching chainguard, as well as a classy leather Brooks B17 saddle.
The Pashley Morgan 3 costs just under that asked for the Morgan 8, retailing at £1,495.
