In a move to attract tech-savvy buyers, Peugeot has introduced a new trim to its 308 range — the Tech Edition.

Available to order now, this latest grade focuses on bringing a whole host of tech to the mid-size car, offered in both hatchback and estate form.

The Tech Edition will sit just ahead of Allure in the line-up. It adds Drive Assist Pack, which brings adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking to the car, along with Safety Pack, consisting of speed limit recognition, lane keep assist, blind spot detection and automatic high beams.

Other clever features here include all-round parking sensors, a reversing camera, power folding door mirrors and automatic dual-zone climate control.

It’s not all just technology here though, with some luxury features brought in to create a comfortable cabin — such as Alcantara sports-style seats, along with lumbar adjustment for the passenger.

Distinguishing the Tech Edition from the rest of the range aesthetically are 17-inch ‘Rubis’ alloy wheels, a fixed glass panoramic roof and — for SW models — aluminium roof bars.

Engine choices consist of a 1.2-litre PureTech 130 petrol engine or a 1.5-litre BlueHDi diesel option. Both can be had with the choice of a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The Peugeot 308 Tech Edition is now available to order, with prices starting from £22,400.
