Powering the Mazda2 Sport Black is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, developing 89bhp and 148Nm of torque. It’s paired to a five-speed manual gearbox and is capable of taking the supermini from 0-60mph in 9.2 seconds and on to a 114mph top speed. As for efficiency, Mazda claims 62.8mpg on a combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 118g/km.
