Dacia introduces two new trim levels for the Duster SUV
Romanian brand updates affordable 4×4 with more kit, including a new satellite navigation system
Low-cost car manufacturer Dacia has brought life to its aging Duster SUV range courtesy of two new trim levels.
The small 4×4 is nearing the end of its current generation, with a new model due later this year. However, the Romanian firm has freshened up its budget-orientated small SUV with new Air and Nav+ trims.
Brought in to replace the existing Ambience, Laureate and Prestige lines, the two new trims sit above the Spartan entry-level Access model.
There’s a substantial jump in cost for Nav+, which starts at £13,095. This adds Dacia’s MediaNav Evolution system, which consists of a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment set-up and rear parking sensors with an integrated camera. Other upgrades include 16-inch alloy wheels, electric rear windows, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors, an on-board computer and leather upholstery.
Access and Air trims are available with Dacia’s 1.6-litre petrol engine, which makes 113bhp, while the Nav+ trim has a choice of two engines – a 123bhp, 1.2-litre petrol and a 109bhp, 1.5-litre diesel.
All models can be specified with either two- or four-wheel-drive and come with a six-speed manual gearbox. However, Nav+ buyers can opt for a six-speed automatic transmission for the diesel engine.
Prices for the entry-level Duster Access remain the same, which makes it the least expensive new SUV on the market at £9,495. The updated Dacia range is available to order now, with deliveries beginning in April 2018.
