Kia reveals pricing and specification for new Stonic compact crossover
The South Korean manufacturer’s latest model will cost from £16,295
Kia’s new Stonic compact crossover has been priced from £16,295, the South Korean manufacturer has confirmed.
Order books are now open for the new vehicle, which is available in two levels of specification – 2 and First Edition – and with a choice of two petrol engines and one diesel engine.
The petrol line-up consists of a 1.4-litre, 98bhp unit (only available on 2 models) and a more powerful 1.0-litre turbocharged 118bhp power plant. The diesel offering consists of a sole 1.6-litre, 108bhp engine.
Entry-level 2 models feature standard equipment such as 17-inch alloy wheels, a seven-inch display with DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto all included.
Vehicles in this specification also benefit from rear parking sensors, voice recognition, LED daytime running lights and steering wheel-mounted audio controls, to name but a few features.
All three engines are available with this specification, with the 1.4-litre unit representing the most affordable option, and the diesel the most expensive.
Crowning the Stonic range in the UK is the First Edition specification, which adds a seven-inch touchscreen display with satellite navigation and Kia Connected Services, as well as LED rear lights, a two-tone exterior and active safety equipment such as autonomous emergency braking and lane departure warning.
The range-topping Stonic First Edition with the 1.6-litre diesel engine will cost from £20,495. Pricing hasn’t been revealed for the petrol-powered First Edition, but expect it to cost slightly less than the diesel.
