Eye-catching bespoke McLaren 720S unveiled at Pebble Beach
McLaren Special Operations has created a unique fuchsia supercar
An eye-catching, one-of-a-kind McLaren 720S has been unveiled at Pebble Beach.
Created by McLaren Special Operations, the Woking manufacturer’s division for bespoke vehicles, this 720S is finished in a striking ‘Fux Fuchsia’ paint — named after the customer of the car, business tycoon Michael Fux.
The colour was created by Rolls-Royce for Fux, with MSO adapting it for this bespoke supercar. Fux has the exclusive rights to use the colour on any McLaren vehicle.
The colour also features as a detail on the alloy wheels, as a pinstripe on the steering wheel and even on the rear-view mirror surround. The rest of the interior is wrapped almost entirely in white leather and stitching — the exception being Alcantara floor mats, although those are also white.
Completing the bespoke visuals of the 720S are stealth grey-finished exhausts and window surrounds from MSO’s Defined range — available to order for any McLaren car.
This isn’t the first McLaren owned by Fux. He has previously had a McLaren 12C, as well as a 12C Spider and P1 — the latter two also featured MSO treatment, finished in purple and green respectively.
Fux’s car collection extends beyond McLaren — he also owns a LaFerrari, a Porsche 911R and even an IndyCar, to name just a few.
Jolyon Nash, executive director of global sales and marketing at McLaren Automotive, said: “MSO provides McLaren owners with virtually limitless possibilities to tailor a car exactly to their needs and tastes.
“Unique paint colours and finishes, custom leather and stitching and exotic materials are all available within a bespoke commission, while beyond this there are opportunities all the way up to complete vehicles designed to individual specification.”
