Ducati will showcase a new concept bike based on the XDiavel at the Bikers’ Classic event, held at Spa-Francorchamps.

Called the Thiverval, the futuristic motorcycle was designed by Belgian customiser Fred Krugger.

Named after a small race track just outside of Paris, the Thiverval is the third example of a XDiavel to be customised and turned into a special concept bike. It joins the XDiavel by Roland Sands and the draXter by the Ducati Design Centre.

According to Ducati, the Thiverval is “a fresh, futuristic power cruiser boasting extreme attention to detail. While retaining its ties with the XDiavel, it also demonstrates its potential in terms of customisation”.

Krugger – who has won numerous bike-building competitions and is regarded as one of the world’s best customisers – aimed to create a power cruiser that was imaginative, but also retained strong ties with the XDiavel and Ducati’s “DNA” in general.

The Thiverval leaves the XDiavel’s engine in plain sight, while the Trellis frame has been hidden in order to simplify the bike’s lines. Its headlight is an obvious XDiavel feature, although the bike’s superstructure has been rebuilt – with a new tank and tail.

The Thiverval will be on display at the Bikers’ Classics Lifestyle Village on July 1 and 2.
