Hyundai reveals pricing and specification for new i30 Tourer
The practical estate version of Hyundai’s popular hatchback will cost from £17,495
Hyundai’s new i30 will cost from £17,495 when it goes on sale in the UK on July 6.
The new model features an impressive range of safety equipment as standard, with lane departure warning, forward collision warning, lane keep assist and autonomous emergency braking systems being fitted across the range.
Compared with its hatchback stablemate, the i30 Tourer offers buyers even more boot space, with 602 litres if the rear seats are in place and 1,650 litres with them folded down.
Hyundai will offer the i30 Tourer in five different trim levels: S, SE, SE Nav, Premium and Premium SE.
Entry-level S models will cost from £17,495, and include standard equipment such as 15-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity.
Moving up the range, SE models will cost from £19,355, and add 16-inch alloys, front fog lamps, a five-inch LCD touchscreen and rear view camera among other features.
The mid-level SE Nav specification builds on this even further, with satellite navigation, an eight-inch LCD touchscreen, and wireless phone charging capability all included in the £20,305 starting price.
Premium models will cost from £22,855, and gain smart 17-inch alloy wheels, upgraded Michelin tyres, dual zone climate control and an electronically adjustable driver’s seat, as well as improved safety technology.
The flagship i30 Tourer Premium SE adds even more luxuries, with a panoramic glass sunroof, leather-upholstered seat facings and a heated steering wheel all included as standard. These will start at £24,155.
One diesel and two petrol engines are available with the i30 Tourer in various states of tune, depending on model.
There’s a 1.0-litre, 118bhp petrol engine available with a six-speed manual transmission, as well as a larger 1.4-litre petrol. This engine produces 138bhp, and is available with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
A 1.6-litre diesel completes the engine line-up, and is available with either 109bhp or 134bhp. The 109bhp unit is only available with a six-speed manual, while the more powerful engine comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
