Sean Williams: 'Key witness' in Christmas road death of Wolverhampton schoolboy comes forward

A key witness to a crash which killed a Wolverhampton schoolboy days after Christmas has come forward to police.

Officers investigating the death of 13-year-old Sean Williams were seeking the driver of a small, light-coloured vehicle which had been at the junction of March End Road and Lakefield Road where the crash happened on December 29.

Sean, from Bushbury, died after being hit by a car at around 2pm.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police, said: "The witness we were appealing for has come forward and enquiries are on-going."

The driver of the car involved was taken to hospital and treated for shock. He is continuing to assist collision police.

After Sean's death, his parents, Elaine and Andrew, paid tribute, saying: "Anyone who knew Sean would know he was an amazing, intelligent, polite, loving little boy."

Anyone with information about the accident, who has not yet spoken to police, should call the force on 101.
